Overview
Parked with any part of the vehicle on a designated cycle track or mandatory cycle lane.
From the warden's perspective
Warden's note
Cycle lanes must be marked with a solid or broken white line and appropriate signs. Mandatory cycle lanes (solid white line) cannot be entered by other vehicles. Advisory lanes (broken line) are advisory only and may not be enforceable in the same way.
Common mistakes
Grounds councils sometimes get wrong — worth checking against your PCN and evidence pack.
- Advisory cycle lane mistaken for mandatory
- Lane markings unclear or faded
- Temporary suspension of restriction not enforced
Your rights
Check whether the cycle lane is mandatory (solid line) or advisory (broken line). Advisory lanes may not support this code.
